This is SLO78U. enjoy the story.

Hi,

SLO as you see it is a 13B N/A carbie job and it's all stock. I have a few things i want to do to it so i'll try to keep you up to date. If you flick through the pages you'll see all the mods that i have done and also some of the problems encounted on the road to making SLO a nice 'street' ( yes that means i drive the car on the road) car.

If you are planning on doing a similar conversion your self ( eg. not taking it to a workshop) send me a e-mail and i'll try to help out.

also check out ........... www.ausrotary.com or www.iluvmyrx7.com or www.rx7club.com . these sites are full of usefull information and help making the conversion eaiser.

Thanks for checking out my site.

MODIFICATIONS

Below is a list of mods done at each time and why.......

Went out on the last day of rego to try and blow the engine so i had a reason to replace it with a turbo model but only managed to blow up the box.... oh well that's a good excuse for a conversion.....

1-New engine, Gearbox, Tailshaft, Intercooler, Turbo, Computer, Fuel System, Exhaust, Suspention, get the car completely engineered, cops don't like me !!!

Go track racing for kicks blow the Turbo, Gearbox, Diff........

2-New hi-flo Turbo, Custom made Full Spool, Complete rebuild of the Gearbox ( New 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th gears and syncros, lots of new Bearings ), New Brass Button clutch ( 5 Puck ).

Didn't get the car tuned for the new turbo .......... blow up engine..

3-New engine ( mild port, 3mm seals ) get the car tuned this time !!!!

Want more power and better drive ability.

4-Bigger Injectors and Fuel Regulator.

And at the moment it's running on the run in tune and going great. I'll get a few more km on te engine and then get it re-tuned. Car got tuned and made 230 RWHP on 11psi , not bad for a hi-flo.

5-New hi-flo ( 57mm front wheel, big front snail, over size oil galleries bigger bushes ser 5 rear with larger internal gate)

POWER ............................... ?????? i'll let you know soon. it may have to wait a while.

The lower control arm on the passengers side colapsed yesterday due to "metal fatigue". hopefully the car can be repaired and i'll be out on the track in a few months. with the new turbo, manifold, radiator, front air dam and hopefully some other good bits...

i'll keep you updated.....
